About
Psychology, AI, and a reason to apply both.
I started in psychological science — studying how people think, decide and cope — and moved into artificial intelligence and machine learning to build systems that take those human realities seriously.

Working approach
What I try to bring to the work.
Responsible and human-centred before clever.
Evidence-oriented; comfortable saying what isn't yet known.
Clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
Beyond the work
Away from a screen I am usually outdoors — nature, the coast, hiking, fitness and skiing — or thinking about philosophy, space and physics. I also enjoy board games and the company of dogs.
The mark
A quiet connection to Jake Zachary.
The small silhouette at the top of each page is Jake Zachary, my late black Labrador and soul dog. I miss him dearly.
It is traced from a photograph of him on the coast—standing alert with his tail raised—and carried into the site as a quiet way home.
